Q3 Back-to-School Season • A Moment for Busy Parents

Back to school is here and for working busy parents it go time in the season, Q3. For business owners, entrepreneurs and leaders this can be an especially tough time and re-entry for kids as well as their hard working parents.

Add onto that Q3 often means doubling down on our business goals to meet and exceed objectives, and KPI’s we have set. But for many of us who are also parents, August is its own kind of high-pressure season. Back-to-school means new schedules, early mornings, endless forms, and the mental juggling act of keeping both our companies and our kids on track.

On the Zen Hustlers Balance podcast, we do our best to unpack the hidden stress this season brings for busy parents — and more importantly, how to manage it without burning out and complete overwhelm. Here are some tips to help you remain focused and on target.

  • Carving out micro-moments of calm to creating family routines that actually work, balance isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity!

  • Own your mornings start with drinking water, some conscious breathing, any meditation, personal journaling, stretching, walking, etc.

  • Move your body daily, we’re fans of standing desks to keep your spine upright, stretch, jog, walk, light weights, take classes, just move!

  • Schedule time off and fun, what you schedule happens just like important meetings, respect the time for you as well

  • Apply the DEA - Delegate, Eliminate and Automate hire an inexpensive virtual assistant (VA), use AI and get ride of empty tasks
